06May2021 Howell - epigentics is not touched on (much) in the book, but as per <|Href ??name? "Lamarke's revenge"|>, epi may actually be the more active form of inheritance.  Also, if I remember correcty, there is a HUGE difference in the variability of the genome : mitochondiral DNA is maternal only, and probably has little leeway withough making an organism unviable.  Hair color, body height etc varying levels of variance.  Brain - may be the most flexible of all?
