= International Neural Network Society (INNS) -  Diversity Committee =

The INNS Diversity Committee started with a focus on issues of concern to women scientists in the field of Computational Intelligence, with a particular emphasis on what the INNS should be doing with it's own processes and activities.   However, while women's issues remain the primary focus, the Diversity Committee may also consider other diversity issues.  

This is a prototype wiki site to test as : 
*a Diversity Committee working tool, as the [http://www.inns.org INNS] plans for higher levels of [awareness, fairness, recognition, promotion] for its members.  
*a forum for airing and learning about challenges that individuals and groups face.  This will likely be of most [interest, use] to the affected community, and could help with isolated confusion over whether issues are an individual or community problem?

This wiki is not intended to be the sole working tool for the Diversity Committee, as [emails, websites, social media, other tools] must also be used.  With minimal resources, systems must be simple and easy to maintain.

Note that the intent would be to automatically provide at least partial access to ALL INNS members, with committee-member access to special areas where privacy and confidentiality is an issue for at least some of the material (eg awards recommendations, case histories, etc).  However, this prototype does not implement that capability.
