Conference Guides for [IEEE-CIS, INNS] conferences : Although this guide was initially set up for IJCNN2019, and was used for IEEE WCCI 2020, hopefully some of the basic information may still help [organising committee members, authors] up to 2023-2025 (assuming a half-life of links and process information of 3-5 years?). Blog : IEEE PDF eXpress Plus - check your paper [setup, formatting]

The "Authors' Guide Blogs" (see links in manu near top of page) are in an early draft form, and are being run on a trial basis. Comments are moderated by the Publications Chair before posting, so expect delays of at least a day or so before they appear. Note that emails have been edited - usually by [omitting salutations, endings], but also by omitting material not relevant to the "theme" under which the emails are placed below.

Authors have been having trouble with the [IEEE PDF eXpress, electronic Copyright form (eCf)] submissions. One trick is to use conference numbers of [46175XP, 46175X] respectively for these submissions. More detail can be found at the links :
Also - Did you log in to the IEEE PDF eXpress site to create your own account? This is suggested in your paper acceptance letter and in the "Authors' Guide : IEEE PDF eXpress Plus" web-page (link above).
Apparently, if you take too long to do the eCf submission it may provide an error.

Dear Bill,

I'm not sure what I did differently to be able to perform the resubmission. However, I remember all the steps, I'm writing them down so you can understand what I did differently:

1st Resubmission:

I made the modifications that the reviewers requested and I entered on the PDF eXpress test site (http://www.pdf-express.org/plus/). I entered the conference ID that came in the email confirming acceptance of the paper, which would be: 46175. When I tried to login, I received a message that the conference ID was wrong and the following message appeared on the login screen: "... If you are having trouble using the Conference ID from your author kit please make sure you add an "xp" at the end and try it again. For example - icde08 should be icde08xp. ..."

So I modified the conference ID to 46175xp and it worked. With that, I checked our paper using the PDF eXpress test with success and did the resubmission. About the electronic Copyright form (eCf) I just followed the highlighted steps in the email and had no problems.

2nd Resubmission:

We remember that the ACKNOWLEDGMENT was missing, so we modified the paper and tried to resubmit. This time, I had forgotten to check the paper with the PDF eXpress test and I tried to upload the file, however, I received an error message. At the moment I do not remember what the message was.

3rd Resubmission:

After checking the paper with the ACKNOWLEDGMENT in the PDF eXpress test, I was able to complete the submission. After that, I was directed to the eCf page, but I received the following error message:
Although we received this message, we received the confirmation email of the resubmission.

this morning I was notified that our work has been accepted for the IJCNN conference. In the mail it is requested to check if the PDF matches the guidelines provided via http://www.pdf-express.org/plus using a conference ID: 46175.
Unfortunately, this ID is not working for me.

Problem - embedded fonts in the images

Yes - as a question, because I'm not familiar with that. I think I saw a reference to that in the forest of IEEE documents (maybe the LaTex template or Shell's site or something), and somebody can probably answer it. A good question is worth a thousand good answers.
