I was just putting together some comments about fusion energy for a casual request, and noticed a revamp the webSite of https://www.aureon.ca/ of Toronto: Nuclear Valence Excitation (NVE) (which I always called "de-radio-isotoping" for lack of a better phrase) : Their NVE market has always discussion nuclear fission power plant waste, and involves MIT [science, patents] if I remember correctly. In the case of Jean-Francois Fiset's old project, I doubt that low-level radiactivity is a target for them (or the technology)? [Lantheum (La), Cerium (Ce)] very trace by-production in a pilot experiment - see the "Elemental" video on that home page, at time 00:41. Again, this is a very long shot, given [huge, cheap, natural] deposits. But maybe markets for more rare, rare Earths (and frankly, maybe other more valuable elements) Their 3 original hoped-for markets were : fusion energy; "de-radio-isotoping"v; regional community heating. But as far as I know, they have a long ways to go to have anything like a commercial process. Then theree is the financing issue. Anyways, all the best, 24************************24 #] 21Nov2020 Harbir China - Randell Mill's hydrino's, my unfinished review of Brett Hoverstott's excellent book Harbir China - The only "not-so-substantive" work I have done on Randell Mill's hydrino's is my unfinished review of Brett Hoverstott's excellent book : http://www.billhowell.ca/Projects%20-%20mini/Randell%20Mills/Howell%20-%20review%20of%20Holverstott%202016%20Randell%20Mills%20hydrino%20energy.pdf An earlier email to Steve as pasted below provides a quick list of SAFIRE points. I would have to dive back into the subject for few weeks to add to the [review, email]. I'm not smart enough to rank researchers, but as I state somewhere, my guess is that, right or wrong, Randell Mills is possibly one of the greatest scientists ever, on a par with [Archimedes, Isaac Newton, Bill Lucas, Weber (mid-1800's), etc]. He does [[math, science] concept, theory, experiment, engineering, piloting]s,and clearly isn't just following the herd. To me, this list does NOT include Einstein, although I appreciate his creativity (mostly, quotability). This also reminds me of mathematicians [Euclid, Leibniz, Gauss, Poincare, etc]. Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz may also emerge large in the modern context through growing interesting in his "fractional order calculus" (going beyond standard calculus), which is somehow related (my guess) Benoit Mandelbrot's "multi-fractals". Keep your eyes open for that (eg stability analysis for advanced control theories of memristor arrays (fourth missing basic electrical circuit element after [resistor, capacitor, inductor]s). I have read only a limited amount of Randell Mill's [papers, videos], but I will NOT go into re-derivations of his work (to me, this is the only real "substantive" work), as my focus on Bill Lucas's "Universal Force" concepts (also one of my 4 major priority projects, but on hold for a few years). I have not created a webPage for my Lucas project, but a scattering of files are available on my webSite (drill down into the directories), including [brutally long, unfinished] re-derivations of just (the simplest) of many chapters of Lucas. I've a lot of work to do to improve my symbol management software, primitive level to validate automatically small steps in symbolic derivations. http://www.billhowell.ca/Lucas/ I comment on some comparisons of Randell Mills to others in my review. One of the interesting similarities with Bill Lucas is the concept of fractional quantum states of electrons (hydrinos is one part of that in Mills' terminology), which Lucas has long proposed. He uses astronomical spectro-graphic data as a support for the idea. A very interesting difference is the mechanism - Mill's electron density distributions on a spherical shell, versus Lucas's [adoption, ?adaptation?] of the Beregman&Wesly torroidal (soliton) model of the electron. The soliton, like Mill's spherical shell, is to get away from the challenge of synchrotron radiation that should result from other models, but also to explain current gaps in theories an to put the phenomenological basis back into science (returning to natural philosophy, away from physics). I also have text documents listing long-known problems with [General Relativity, Quantum mechanics] "somewhere" on my site. Although this may not be of immediate interest, but is clearly an issue for alternative theories, and one of the drivers for those who develop them. Both Randell Mills and Bill Lucas make extensive comments about these un-answered problems. As a precaution, I don't think that any [biological, environmental] testing has been done on hydrinos? In most discussions I've seen, this would give rise to "strange water", which has both a potential fear factor, and a fun environmental twist. Even if industrial processes could possibly return the water to the environment (depending on test results), "strange water" also provide a lovely potential "regeneration" story via solar regeneration of "normal" water in holding ponds. Special contained ponds could be useful to allow recycling of highly purified water. But my guess is that would be hugely expensive. While I may dreaming up a problem that doesn't exist, that's never stopped Luddites before ([health, environment] [government, academic] research scientists in the modern context). I thought that one of the stated collaborators of Aureon was Lockheed Martin, who have a big project on small high-[T,P] fusion reactors, if I remember correctly (it's been a while, and my memory isn't so good). However, Aureon's current "Partners" web-page does NOT mention Lockheed Martin. https://aureon.ca/partners I see no mention of MIT either, especially with respect to the "de-radio-activation" of materials (my lazy term). I had the impression that this idea was driven by MIT, but I don't know it's origins. Hussar. Alberta. Canada To: Stephen Howell. Gas storage consultant. SEBIL Consulting Services Ltd. Calgary I've just finished point form comments of the SAFIRE project as part of my review of Brett Holverstott's book "Randell Mills and the search for hydrino energy". This should give you a quick view, and links are provided (mostly videos). Of course, they can't say everything, and my guess is that by summer 2018 they will annouce fusion to form elements that go far beyond the supposed low element weights of the extremely high [temperature, pressure] fusion processes being tested since WWII. That assumes that their patents are in line by then (perhaps I am a tad optimistic on that!). My guess - Turf out the Standard model of the sun, which is completely outclassed by SAFIRE. I can't do that with a "Multiple Conflicting Hypothesis" approach, so I retain whatever is out there. But investing is different from concepts, and if I were to put money down ... To me, there is a high probability that SAFIRE-derived processes will quickly succeed, and completely ruin the economics of the high [temperature, pressure] fusion processes. Of course, [government, academic] stupidity and blindness means that the latter will likely receive free government money for at least a generation or two. There are HUGE similarities between recent work by Randell Mills and the SAFIRE project. Mills' is non-nuclear, but hints at potential nuclear reactions. Fractional quantum levels of electrons are at the core of Mills concepts and experiments, and that may also be a big factor in SAFIRE, but they aren't looking at that, or at least aren't saying anything about that. Shortly after the 2017 Phoenix conference, the SAFIRE team discovered a unique process that initiates and sustains the plasma double layers. This new advancement in plasma science demonstrates a process that consistently creates, contains, and controls the plasma double layers in stable exothermic plasma reactions. Although the energies and densities are comparable to the sun's photosphere and nuclear bombs, the data shows no harmful side effects such as radioactivity. But the science of what is actually happening at the molecular and atomic levels is not yet fully understood. Understanding these reactions will give valuable insight into the way the sun's atmosphere functions and provide the foundation by which these energies can be beneficially harnessed. "Collaboration and Science" - Montgomery Childs explores the idea of 'two worlds', the theoretical and the empirical, and how the SAFIRE PROJECT maintains a sharp eye on the line between. He also offers an intriguing take on SAFIRE methodology – involving a cigar, sailing, and a bit of wind. - experiment (empirical) as key, theory as aid - elemental changes in the chamber - no forcing of plasma behaviour : "natural" - copious amount of fusion? from H2 -> H + D mix, mass spec shows other [elements, compunds] (to A of ?63?) >> Some quotes from the video : - "... Experimentalists are the gate keepers, they hold the keys to progress in the applied sciences and technological advancement. ...' - "... The two worlds (experiments, deductive theories) need to be brought together. There must be a collaboration for technological advancement to be realized. ..." >> I question this - one does NOT need theory most of the time! Pure data-driven models work alone, whereas theory without any experimental basis rarely works. Both [experiment, theory] must iterate over ever more diverse experimental results. 2. "New views on the interstellar medium" - Dr. Michael Clarage talks about his work with SAFIRE from a more philosophical perspective – what an empiricist might ponder outside the lab. He offers some intriguing if not startling observations about the astronomical and the biological, the dead and the living universe. - clear demarcation between theoretical and empirical - lasting impacts from data - much new astronomical data violates existing theories - need new [theories, models] for astronomy - very exciting time for astronomy - dark matter and black holes headed for dust bin - biology and plasma astronomy very similar, same basis? - astronomy is alive, like you and I - [directed, managed, purposeful] molecule movement in cells = new views of astronomy, connected [stars, galaxies, clusters, etc], structure and function - more data won't necessarily help unless we ask the right questions - biology recognizes form follows function, not astronomy - stars as "alive"? 3. "SAFIRE project 2018 report" - Montgomery Childs and Dr. Michael Clarage present a review of The SAFIRE PROJECT to date, which includes some new discoveries of the past year. Childs : - plasma regimes (low -> high current) : dark quiescent, tufts, moving tufts, fouble layers, quiescent, assymetric - gravity no effect in chamber - enormous energy storage in plasma layers even though 182 W power input - destructive energy release vaporizes tungsten, melts ceramic - high voltage gradients in vacuum conditions in plasma (>= 8,000 V/m) Clarage : - [voltage, current, resistance, power, fields, electron densities, temperature] across plasma double layers very interesting, much unknown - plasma adjusts itself over enormous ranges, very stable - increasing temperature away from anode is like sun's corona (81,000 Celsius) - is "temperature" a poorly suited concept for the plasmas - nuclear fusion model does only ONE thing well - predict solar power output >> Howell - not really, as they simply adjust parameters to get the output. May be best so far - plasma electric model based on SAFIRE is out by factor of 100 after scale-up by 10^24 (predicts smaller sun than actual) >> Howell - still very early in experiments, simple corrections to huge scale-up would easily handle (as with nuclear model!) - nuclear fusion model does NOT predict [sunspots, coronal loops, relative abundances of electmentsin the photosphere, sunspot 22y cycle, solar magnetic field, convention underneath photosphere, temperature profile of suns atmosphere] - nuclear fusion model does NOT predict existence of [photosphere, chromosphere, corona] Summary of results to date by Childs : - SAFIRE - capable to [contain, control, stabilize] high energy dense plasmas - chemistry changes - slowing the speed of light (extreme UV up to 60,000 times slower in double layers!) - variations in the electron density comparable to [photosphere, heliosphere, nuclear bombs] - plasma double irradiance comparable to the irradiance of photosphere - electrical confinement of high energy photons (photon trapping) - The core of SAFIRE is cooler than its surroundings (like sun;s photosphere versus chromosphere) - Lowell Morgan predicts cathodes may not be required after plasma setup - fed from plasma itself 2017 Electric Universe FUTURE SCIENCE Conference in Phoenix Arizona 4. 90 minute SAFIRE PROJECT presentation, given at the 2017 Electric Universe FUTURE SCIENCE Conference in Phoenix Arizona. ---------------------------- Original Message ---------------------------- Subject: Aureon Energy.
