Conference Guides for [IEEE-CIS, INNS] conferences : Although this guide was initially set up for IJCNN2019, and was used for IEEE WCCI 2020, hopefully some of the basic information may still help [organising committee members, authors] up to 2023-2025 (assuming a half-life of links and process information of 3-5 years?). Conference Guides :
I spent considerable time building the "Conference Guides" website to help me with my responsibilities as Publications Chair for the International Joint Conference on Neural Networks (IJCNN) 2019 Budapest. This included an Authors' Guide, primarily to clarify in my mind the type of actions that authors would have to take. This clarified how that fitted into my role, and also provided an overall view of author [actions, requirements, etc] to help young researchers and experienced researchers who did not have experience with the IEEE conference systems.
I expanded the website to cover other areas of responsibility that I had held with previous IJCNN conferences. This was continued for my role as Publicity Co-Chair for the World Congress on Computational Intelligence (WCCI) 2018 Rio de Janeiro, and 2020 Glasgow.
In that manner, the website also provides a [detailed, functional] source of information to help other [Publications, Publicity, Sponsors] Chairs in the future. For sure, the details change with each Organising Committee, and atttentuate quickly with time as the toolsets evolve and new toolsets become available.
